Started as a trip to see the Rotary Jail. Decided to get lunch and stopped here because we liked the name. Great service and better food. Wide variety of unique burgers (excellent) and the fries were delicious. Also had the loaded “volcano fries” as an appetizer. We’ll make the drive again!
Great place, great food!! The bbq and ranch dips are amazing!! The patrons, the staff and atmosphere are awesome!! So welcoming!! If you want small town hospitality and a fun experience, definitely come here!! We will drive the 45 min from Indianapolis to come again!!!
We stopped here after hiking at Shades and we were headed home. We were so glad we picked this place! We split the volcano fries (with pulled pork) and they gave us a new item they are trying, cheese curds. I wouldn't exactly call them cheese curds, just fried cubes of cheese, but they were delicious! We both had burgers which were excellent. Since we had fries as an appetizer, we each got other sides - coleslaw and broccoli salad. Both are homemade in house and they were delicious. We sat upstairs in the restaurant and not the bar area, and we were the only ones. I don't know if it's often this quiet but I hope they have enough business to stay open cause it was great. I'm trying to think of a reason to come out to Crawfordsville again.
It was quite when I visited. Fresh made to order food. Looks like a place to grab a bite to eat or kick back and have a good time.
we got the NADA Burger which is a Hoosier tenderloin. that was the thickest tenderloin we've ever had very juicy. it needed to be trimmed as we had two bits of gristle but the rest of the loin was as good as a tenderloin gets. actually it's better not sure we've had a tenderloin this good and we've had over 80 in Indiana. they forced us to try the queso dip with the french fries. this is because it's so good it's addictive and we're already thinking about when we can have it again. an extra bonus is that they don't use styrofoam we can recycle the container that the queso came in and the rest is compostable.

This place is definitely a vibe. Food was amazing and the service was even better! The guy working even ran my to-go box outside to me because I forgot it at the table when I left! It’s rare to find great places like this anymore. So glad I stopped it and will definitely go back if I’m in the area again!
The Barefoot Burger offers a unique dining experience. The old building has been transformed into a comfortable dining space and going down a few steps you are into the bar area. I did not sample the bar offerings, but the food was really good. While they are known for burgers, I had a pasta dish with alfredo sauce and fresh steamed broccoli, garlic bread and a very fresh salad. The portions for generous and the food was well prepared. The service was friendly, and I definitely plan to go back.
Accidentally left our shoes on. Volcano Fries were magma-nificent. Ordered fish and a salad, would recommend a burger. Quick service, cold beer, and great company.
Very clean restaurant with very nice staff. The food was excellent and I was very happy that they had a gluten-free dedicated fryer as well as gluten-free buns. They have fresh cut fries. I had a build your own burger and my boyfriend had a breaded pork tenderloin sandwich. We were both totally satisfied with our food. We were surprised that the sandwiches with fries were both only $10. Can't go wrong with that. They offered desserts as well as a wide variety of alcohol and specialty drinks. They played very light music over the system which we enjoyed. They also had a tiki bar but we did not go downstairs to see it. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.
